A human rights activist, Comrade Osita Obi has demanded immediate resignation of Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu over erratic power supply experienced across the country during the yuletide.
Obi who was reacting to the present electricity outage across the nation also asked the Minister to tender unreserved apology to Nigerians for “giving them darkness instead of light during the festive period.”
Describing the Minister as square peg in round hole, the activist maintained that Adelabu lacks vision and capacity to lead the ministry.
He said, “The Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu should resign and tender unreserved apology to Nigerians for giving them darkness instead light during this festive period.
“In a civilised clime, he should not wait for a call for his resignation before throwing in the towel.
“The man has no vision and capacity to lead a ministry like power ministry. He is a square peg in a round hole.”
