Christmas: Soludo’s son pays hospital bills for patients in Anambra

Mr Chinua Soludo, son of Anambra State Governor,  has paid the hospital bills of several patients across three hospitals in the state as part of activities to mark the Christmas season.

Soludo undertook the unscheduled visits to the hospitals on Thursday.

He visited St. Joseph Hospital, Adazi-Nnukwu, in Anaocha Local Government Area, to Nnobi General Hospital in Idemili South LGA and Ekwulobia General Hospital in Aguata LGA

Soludo cleared the outstanding medical bills of more than five patients and also provided transportation fares to enable them return home to celebrate Yuletide with their families.

One of the beneficiaries,  who had been detained after discharge over an unpaid bill of N933,500, had the entire amount settled and was further assisted with transport fare to her home.

At Nnobi General Hospital, a patient treated for acute malaria with a bill of over N120,000 also had the cost fully paid, enabling the patient to rejoin family members.

In Ekwulobia, no fewer than 10 women benefited from the payment of their medical bills and transportation support.

The gesture was warmly received by beneficiaries and their relatives, many of whom offered prayers for God’s blessings and protection upon him.

Many residents described the Christmas gesture as a rare demonstration of love and compassion, which reflects the true spirit and values of the Christmas season.
