Pray for peace in Anambra market – Chairman tells prayer leadership

Chairman, Nkpor New Auto Spare parts Market Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, Chief Stephen Ofoleh has urged the newly installed Newparts Market Prayer leadership to pray for the Peace of God to reign in the market.

Ofoleh made the call during the installation/ordination of the Market’s Prayer Team Exco Led by Evang Emeka Okpeta and celebration of the Good Samaritan Day held at the market.

Ofoleh further thanked the leadership of Market Prayer Team for their steadfastness and prayers towards the spiritual well-being of the market.

He prayed that the new Market Prayer Leader and his exco members will follow the footsteps of the outgoing executives who did marvelously well and do better.

“I pray that the light handed over to the new leader will not quench in Jesus name.

“May God keep all of us till January when we shall all come back to resume business for the year.

“I thank God for all he helped us achieve in the market this year 2025. I thank all traders who come out regularly for prayers.

Donors appreciated

“I also thank those who donated money that was used to help the less privileged during the Good Samaritan Day.

“May God replenish your finances. It shall be well for New parts market,” he added.

Earlier, Outgoing Prayer Team Coordinator, Pastor Innocent Nwafor said that Good Samaritan Day was a day the Prayer Team in collaboration with the Market Executives and all the Traders reach out to the less-privileged persons, which include the poor traders facing difficulties, widows and orphans.

“This season is a period to help people around you”.

Nwafor thanked the traders for their cooperation during his tenure urging them to support the new Prayer Leader much more.

“We trusted on God who saw us through for the last two years of my leadership. I pray that my successor Evang.

“Emeka Okpeta will work with triple anointing, so that he would achieve more than I did in his own tenure,” said Pastor Nwafor.

For his part, the newly installed Prayer Coordinator, Evang. Emeka Okpeta said that he accepted the call with his heart.

He pledged to do his best to serve God in that capacity as the prayer coordinator of New parts market, Nkpor.

“I have a passion to be in God’s presence to serve him. I urge all who just stay idle at their shops without joining us when prayer is going on to always come out and become part of what we are doing.

“A tree cannot make a forest and none knows when his own salvation will come through the messages preached in this place.

“Over 100 indigent persons benefitted from this year 2025 Good Samaritan Day courtesy of the traders in our market.

“We gave out cash gifts of different amounts to different categories of the less privileged persons.

“I also pray that God will replenish the pockets of our sponsors,” Okpeta said.

Highlights of the event include massive prayers of impartation and ordination for the new Market Prayer Coordinator, cash gift presentation to the less-privileged and End of year market prayer declarations.
