She said the equipment is currently being installed to enable full broadcasting operations.

“Joyfully, I further announce that work at the ICT Experience Centre, a Federal Government pilot initiative under the Office of the First Lady and sponsored directly by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), has attained approximately 65% completion.

“In addition, work has recommenced on the Hospitality and Hotel Complex following the revalidation of the project by TETFund. Upon completion, this facility will offer quality lodging and hospitality services to guests of the Polytechnic.

Additional furniture

“Management has also taken delivery of additional student chairs and desks, which are presently being installed in lecture halls across the Oko Campus to further improve teaching and learning conditions,” she noted.

The Rector described the feats as more than infrastructure but symbols of renewal, progress, and hope.

She stressed that the achievements were clear evidence of Polytechnic that is being steadily repositioned for relevance, excellence, and national impact.

Her words: “Permit me to use this solemn and joyous occasion to reaffirm that the appointment of the Rector of this institution was duly made by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in strict compliance with extant rules and regulations.

“With this process concluded, all forms of lobbying, politicking, and distraction are firmly behind us.

“What lies before us is a season of governance, service and shared responsibility.

“I therefore call on all staff and students to join hands with Management to move the Federal Polytechnic, Oko to greater heights.

Proud ambassadors of FedPoly

“Let us become proud ambassadors of this institution: consciously projecting, promoting and protecting the good image of the Polytechnic.

“Institutional branding is not the responsibility of Management alone; it is a collective duty we all share.

“I must reiterate that this administration maintains zero tolerance for indiscipline, corruption, and any conduct capable of bringing reputational damage to our institution.

“As stated at our inauguration, we did not come to victimize or witch-hunt anyone.

“Rather, we came to liberate, to restore order, to instill discipline, and to do the right thing; always guided by due process.

“In this spirit of fairness and transparency, I am pleased to inform the Polytechnic community that the Governing Council has also approved appropriate placements for all deserving staff whose grievances were duly reported.

“I encourage any staff who has issues relating to changes/alteration in date of birth or records of service to approach Management for correction.

“Management remains open, humane and supportive, but will not hesitate to apply due process where required.

Conversion to other cadres

“Similarly, members of staff who are aggrieved or who wish to convert to other cadres are encouraged to submit their applications in January 2026, in line with approved procedures, for consideration.”

Acknowledging tangible progress being recorded within the Polytechnic, the Rector noted that some facilities still require rehabilitation and upgrading.

She said management has remained deliberate and proactive in pursuing both internal initiatives and external support to enhance our learning environment.

“I am pleased to announce that the Governing Council, at its 124th Regular Meeting, graciously approved the 2026 appraisal and promotion report for academic and non-teaching staff, with effect from January 2026.

“Promotion letters will be issued shortly, and we congratulate all deserving beneficiaries in advance,” she revealed.

Citing Isaiah 9:6, Awuzie said the occasion was opportunity to reflect on the birth of Jesus, the greatest gift humanity ever received.

“In Him light shines in the midst of uncertainty and challenges. Christmas is more than a celebration, love, unity and moral renewal. It’s a period of sober reflection,” she added.
