Your victory is appreciation from citizens for good governance – Assembly tells Soludo

The Anambra State House of Assembly has congratulated Professor Chukwuma Soludo on his victory during the November 8 2025 Gubernatorial election in the state.

In a motion sponsored by the member representing Anaocha constituency 2. Mr Ejike Okechukwu, the law makers said the victory was an affirmative of the confidence the people have placed on the Governor.

According to them, the unprecedented win across the twenty-one local government areas shows that the people are happy with the developmental strides of the present administration of Professor Soludo.

The Deputy Speaker, Chief Chukwuma Okoye thanked his constituents for trooping out to exercise their franchise.

He noted that the numerous structures and facilities so far established by the Governor no doubt earned him the Second tenure bid.

For their parts, the members representing Aguata Constituency 1, Mr Anayo Okpalaeke, the Majority Leader of the House, Mr Ikenna Ofodeme took their turns to commend both the security agencies, media, and other auxiliary personnel that worked towards ensuring that the election turned out peaceful.

Mr Okechukwu commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, for the peaceful and credible conduct of the election.

He said the outcome strengthens the democratic process in Anambra state and the nation at large.

President Tinubu hailed

Mr Okechukwu also thanked President Bola Tinubu for ensuring an enabling environment for the peaceful conduct of the exercise in the state.

Described the win as a mandate that carries the weight of the people’s hopes, their gratitude for what the Governor have accomplished, and their belief in what he is yet to achieve.

“Your Excellency, the people have spoken clearly. They have seen your good works across our state.

“The people have witnessed the transformation of Okpoko from neglect to renewal.

“They have benefited from free education, free maternal healthcare, and the empowerment of our youths through the One Youth, Two Skills initiative.

“The people have watched you govern with purpose, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to the development of our dear state.

“This victory is their way of saying: continue. Do not relent. Finish what you have started.”

Doctor Udeze therefore assured that the Anambra State House of Assembly remains a partner in progress.

He said they will continue to work with the Governor to ensure that the legislative framework supports his vision for a prosperous, secure, and developed Anambra State.
