The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Anambra State Chapter, has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on his re-election
SWAN described the Governor’s victory as a clear endorsement of his visionary leadership and people-centered governance.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement jointly signed by the state chairman, Chimezie Anaso, and secretary, Uche Ndeke.
The association hailed Soludo’s sweeping triumph across the 21 LGAs in the November 8, 2025 governorship election.
SWAN noted that by the re-election, Prof. Soludo joins the ranks of a few governors in Anambra’s political history to secure a second term.
According to the association, it also reflects the people’s trust in his administration’s commitment to progress and prosperity.
“The triumph was both a unanimous endorsement of your administration and an eloquent affirmation of your visionary leadership, transformative policies, and unwavering commitment to the progress and prosperity of Anambra State,” the statement read.
The statement commended the governor for achievements recorded in the sports sector during his first tenure.
SWAN also reaffirmed its readiness to partner with his administration in realizing the Solution Agenda for sports development.
The association urged the governor to deepen investments in sports infrastructure, promote youth participation, and leverage the sports economy as a tool for social cohesion, economic empowerment, and national integration.
“We urge you to sustain the gains of your first tenure and ensure that sports continue to serve as a powerful instrument for development,” SWAN added.
The association expressed optimism that with sustained government commitment and collaboration, Anambra can emerge as a hub for sports talent and innovation in Nigeria.
