UDUF Africa has advised young business owners and entrepreneurs to always conduct their businesses in line with government policies.

Founder and President, Ezuma Chinedu gave the charge at the Onitsha Business School during the group’s November Business Meeting and Mentorship Session, themed, “Responsible Entrepreneurship: Understanding and Integrating Nigeria’s New Tax Policies for Business Prosperity”

He stressed that compliance was not a burden but a foundation for credibility, sustainability, and long-term success.

According to him, entrepreneurs who understand and align with tax regulations position themselves for growth, access to funding, partnerships and government support.

Describing the engagement as one of the most impactful tools of the group to shape minds of young entrepreneurs and leaders, Ezuma expressed optimism that the theme would have transformational effect on the mindset and business strategies of participants.

He said, “Each session is designed to open their eyes to opportunities, equip them with practical knowledge, and inspire them to build sustainable and ethical businesses that contribute to community transformation.

Generation with purpose

“What we are doing here in Onitsha is gradually spreading beyond – we are raising a generation of young Africans who lead with purpose, integrity, and innovation.

“UDUF Africa is not just hosting meetings – it is building a movement of responsible, visionary, and community-minded entrepreneurs shaping the future of Africa.”

Ezuma added, “This event perfectly aligns with UDUF Africa’s vision — to be a sought-after organization inspiring Africa’s new generation of young servant leaders and entrepreneurs who are ethical and community service-oriented.

“Through this monthly Business Meeting and Mentorship Session, UDUF Africa continues to fulfill its mission — to connect and inspire young people to transform communities across Africa.

“The discussion on responsible entrepreneurship and tax awareness directly reflects UDUF Africa’s four focus areas — Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Community Service, and Volunteerism.

“By empowering participants with knowledge and actionable strategies, UDUF Africa is helping to build a new wave of entrepreneurs who are not only profit-driven but also socially responsible and nationally conscious.”

Theme discussant, Dr. Sylvanus Izebhokhae, a Chartered Accountant and Strategic Management Consultant, delivered an eye-opening presentation that helped participants understand how to adapt, comply, and thrive under the new tax landscape.

Insight into tax policy reform

The presentation also assisted entrepreneurs, business owners, and leaders to gain deep insights into the upcoming Nigerian Tax Policy Reform effective January 1, 2026 and empowered them on how to navigate the reform.

In their separate remarks, many business owners expressed satisfaction over the engagement, describing it as timely, enlightening and empowering — a true eye-opener that prepared them for the realities of Nigeria’s evolving business environment.

“The discussion opened our eyes to new realities about taxation and how it directly affects business growth, profit margins, and operational sustainability.

“We’re leaving this meeting with clarity on how tax reforms will impact our industries and what adjustments to make ahead of 2026.

“We’re going with renewed commitment to responsible business practices and ethical leadership, as well as actionable insights to restructure their financial records, improve compliance, and avoid penalties.

“We’re further motivated to seek professional guidance in taxation and financial planning to make our businesses stronger and more future-ready.

“We’ve also been equipped with the right knowledge, awareness and strategies to confidently face the new tax policy reform taking effect in January 2026.

Highlight of the event was Book Review on “$100M Offers: How to Make Offers So Good People Feel Stupid Saying No” written by Alex Hormozi and anchored by Comr. Anyacho Prisca.

The event concluded with impactful networking, mentorship connections, and renewed passion for excellence and compliance-driven entrepreneurship.
