The Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, led by Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi, has appointed Dr. Moses Ikegbunam as the university’s representative for the Excell-Malaria Grant.
The Public Relations Unit of the institution issued an official statement announcing it.
The statement, signed by the Registrar, Dr. Chinenye Okeke, was dated Oct. 22, with reference number NAU/REG/88G/V/200.
According to the statement, Ikegbunam’s appointment followed a transparent internal evaluation process carried out by the Directorate of Grants Development and Management Office.
The committee conducted the selection process in strict compliance with the funder’s specified criteria.
The University Management congratulated Ikegbunam on his appointment.
It expressed confidence that he would bring his wealth of experience and professional expertise to advance the objectives of the Excell-Malaria Grant for the benefit of the institution and the larger academic community.
“The Acting Vice Chancellor extends best wishes to Dr Moses Ikegbunam as he assumes this new role,” the statement added.
Ikegbunam is from the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology.
