The victims participated in a medical outreach organized by Dr. Emeka Anaebonam.
Anaebonam is a former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly who represented Onitsha South 1.
He attributed the incident to sudden surge by the crowd struggling to ensure they benefitted on the last day of the exercise.

“You know our people, the first day there was no rush, second day there was little rush and third day it was mad rush, t
“There was an intimidating crowd of patients.
“Each one wanted to be treated before end of time.
“However their injuries were not serious, mere bruises and they were treated immediately,” he said.
Anaebonam revealed that a total number of 520 patients benefitted from the exercise.
He said the outreach was to support and appreciate Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for his numerous achievements in the state.
“This is a free special medical treatment to thank Gov. Soludo for what he did in Fegge and Odoakpu in Onitsha South LGA and by extension the entire state,” he said.
Anaebonam said the outreach attended to cases of prostate, malaria, hypertension, diabetic patients, hypotension, fibroid, arteritis, among others.
One of the beneficiaries, a 72 year old man, Ferdinand Anazodo was full of gratitude, praying God to reward the benefactor.
