Commissioner for Education in Anambra State, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, has been nominated for the 2025 fellowship award by the Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA).
The group in a statement signed by President General, Dr Usman Akanbi and Secretary, Dame Joan Oji said the award is in recognition of her outstanding demonstration of exceptional efforts towards propagation of Literature in the service of humanity.
“It considered it a privilege to reckon Prof. Chuma-Udeh’s enormous investments in literally genres, as a shining example of humanism, promotion of arts and peaceful co-existence.
“Based on the above reckoning, the Association of Nigeria Authors, has after thorough assessment considered and approved your nomination, in appreciation of your selfless contributions.
“In conferring the fellowship, the Association of Nigeria Authors further considered Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh’s exceptional literary accomplishments; commitment to nurturing literary talents and advocacy for freedom of expression and power of the written and spoken words,” the statement
The award ceremony scheduled to hold by 12pm on Friday October 31, 2025, at Chinua Achebe International Conference Center, Mamma Vatsa Writers Village, Km 2, Mpape Hills Maitama Extension Abuja, will be part of the 44th International Convention of the Association of Nigeria Authors.
