Ten communities endorse Soludo with N50m

Ten communities in Anaocha local government area of Anambra State have endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for a second term in office.

The communities demonstrated the solidarity with cheque of N50million in support to the Governor’s campaign during a rally at the local government area headquarters, Neni.

Addressing thousands of residents, local leaders and stakeholders, Soludo expressed gratitude to the people of Anaocha, emphasizing the strong work ethic that characterizes the Igbo culture.

“People know we Igbos for our hard work and enterprise. Those seeking to pervert our values do not represent us; they do not define who we are as a community, particularly when we know that the majority of our people are doing great things.”

The governor reiterated his administration’s support for small-scale traders, restating that petty traders and those with capital below N100,000 should not pay any form of levy or tax.

“We are a party committed to uplifting the poor and ensuring that no one is left behind. This principle is exemplified in all our policies.”

Ongoing infrastructure development

Soludo also highlighted ongoing infrastructure development in the area, noting the extensive network of dual carriage roads that form part of the over a thousand kilometers of roads are under construction across the state.

“We are only just beginning; further progress is on the horizon,” he assured.

On future of leadership in the state, the Governor pledged to ensure that after his administration, someone from Anambra Central Senatorial District will take over from him.

“This underpines my commitment to inclusivity and fairness in political representation,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of the Presidents-General, Chief Kenneth Echendu highlighted positive changes brought about by Soludo’s leadership.

“Governor Soludo has improved our communities through robust infrastructural development.

“The roads and facilities enhancements have made access to essential services easier for everyone.

“His engagement with community leaders has fostered collaboration and good governance at the grassroots level.”

Free education

Mrs. Obumneme Okafor, a proud parent and Free Education beneficiary spoke about the life-changing impact of the free education initiative.

“Thanks to Governor Soludo, my children now attend school without the burden of fees. The commitment to revitalizing our educational system offers hope for a brighter future for our children—and for our community as a whole.”

For Mr. Abba Jonas, a representative of Okada Riders, who have benefited greatly from the governor’s initiatives.

“Governor Soludo has been a tremendous support for our group. His efforts to organize and empower Okada riders have not only improved our working conditions but have also elevated our status in the community. We feel recognized and valued under his governance.”

On their parts, Mrs. Ndidi Ezenwanne, a beneficiary of the Free Antenatal Care and delivery services, Oshim Chinaza who benefitted from the One Youth Two Skills Initiative and Mrs. Obiekezie Anthonia who spoke on behalf of market women said that many women experience safer pregnancies and deliveries.

Governor Soludo has equipped many young people in the community with valuable skills. “His policies have allowed us to thrive and better provide for our families.”

Among the highlights of the rally was the conferment of the Chieftaincy title of “Ekwueme Anaocha”.
