Communities in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State have officially endorsed Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration for a second term.

The communities also endorsed the Governor’s candidacy with a commitment of N150 million.

This is to bolster his campaign ahead of the Nov. 8 governorship election.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, Awka North, announced the endorsement during a rally at Amansea, which attracted supporters.

Addressing the crowd, Soludo expressed gratitude for the endorsement.

“This endorsement reflects the trust and confidence the people of Awka North have in our administration.

“Together, we will build a prosperous future for the people ofị Anambra.

“There are three local government areas that have kept my vision of becoming Governor alive: Awka North, Anambra West and Ogbaru.

“Previously, residents of Awka North had to pass through other local government areas to reach home.

“With the completion of the 10.9-kilometer road to Achalla, that is no longer the case.

“Land prices in the area have risen significantly and the average person in Awka North is now wealthier,” he said.

The Governor described Amansea as the gateway city into Anambra.

He urged the youths to shun cultism and other social vices to maintain a safe community.

“Just be patient and watch what comes next. Awka North is truly blessed by God. We must work together to fulfil its destiny,” he added.

Responding, Chairman of Awka North LGA, Mr. Thankgod Anagor, appreciated the Governor for completing an impressive 55.5 km of roads in area.

“For this and more, we are forever indebted to him. We’re united in supporting his administration to keep succeeding.

“We aim to reinforce the initiatives that have already begun transforming Anambra into a model of development,” he stated.

The lawmaker representing Awka North Constituency in the State Assembly, Mr. Johnmark Ikwunne, outlined projects initiated by the governor.

Speaking on behalf of the ten communities in the area, President-General of Urum, Mr. Felix Ifebumma, expressed their solidarity for the governor.

“Today, we stand united in our commitment to support a leader who has demonstrated a remarkable dedication to the progress of our state,” he said.
