Police in Anambra state have announced the death of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), James Ihiabe.
Command Spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Ikenga said the deceased was in charge of Operations in the Command before his death on Oct. 1, following a brief illness.
He described Ihiabe’s death as great loss to the Nigeria Police Force and Anambra State, where he served with dedication and courage.
“ACP Ihiabe contributed his quota immensely to the fight against violent crimes and the maintenance of Law and Order in the state.
“The Commissioner of Police, Anambra Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, on behalf of the officers and men of the Command, commiserates with the family of the deceased, the Inspector General of Police, and the entire Police Force on this irreparable loss.
“Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
“May his gallant soul rest in peace.”
