Guber Poll: Nwosu’ll rescue Anambra from maladministration – ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has assured that its Anambra state governorship candidate, Chief John Nwosu will introduce positive change in the state if elected in the Nov.8 election.

Director of Research and Strategy of the John Nwosu Campaign Organisation, Mr Richard Okechukwu who gave the assurance in a chat with newsmen.

Okechukwu expressed confidence in Nwosu’s chances to rescue the Anambra from the  maladministration being experienced under the current leadership. 

He cited what he described as a combination of broad support, personal pedigree, and well-outlined policy programmes that give the ADC candidate an edge in the contest.

Okechukwu said the ADC has established its presence across the 21 local government areas and 326 electoral wards in Anambra.

He stressed that the party’s influence continues to grow not only within the State but nationally. 

He noted that Anambra, the home state of 2023 Labour Party candidate Peter Obi, has seen growing grassroots support for the ADC.

According to him, this is boosted by Obi’s recent alignment with the party ahead of the 2027 election.

“ADC is now counted among the major political parties in Nigeria. It has excellent programmes for the overall good of Ndi Anambra. 

“Chief John Nwosu is coming to rescue the State from the quagmire and maladministration being experienced under the current leadership. 

“Our strategies are already in place, and we are confident of victory,” he said.

Okechukwu explained that the party flag bearer had mapped out a seven-point agenda .

According to him, priority areas include security, health, environment, economy, markets, and social welfare. 

According to him, Nwosu intends to tackle security challenges in the State through technology-driven approaches.

“As an Information and Communication Technology expert, he believes security goes beyond recruiting able-bodied men and giving them guns. 

“He believes modern technology provides more effective solutions.

“He has articulated practical methods to address insecurity in Anambra,” Okechukwu added. 

The Director however, noted that details of such strategies could not be disclosed publicly for security reasons.

On the issue of negative campaigning, Okechukwu described Nwosu as decent and polished politician who would not engage in smear tactics.
