The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has commenced its ward tour campaign preparatory to the November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.
Addressing supporters during the campaign, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, described Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as a first-class professor who has managed the resources of the state prudently and delivered tangible projects across sectors.
He assured that the roads linking Isiagu and Ezinator would soon be completed, adding to the numerous kilometers of road already constructed or flagged off within three years in office.
Dr. Ibezim urged women and youths to mobilize support and ensure victory for APGA in every polling unit.
The Deputy Governor emphasized the target of “one million votes” for Soludo.
On his part, the Deputy Speaker of the Anambra House of Assembly, Mr Chukwuma Okoye, assured that Isiagu, Ezinator, and Umuawulu would deliver 100 percent votes for Soludo.
He recalled that his first constituency project in Isiagu was the construction of classroom blocks.
APGA grassroots strength
Chairman, Awka South Campaign Council and Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Dr. Ossy Onuko said the tour had proven APGA grassroots strength.
He noted that the party remained unmatched in Anambra politics highlighting Soludo strides in education, health, road infrastructure and prompt payment of salaries.
He also emphasized that “polling unit strategy” would be central to the party’s campaign revolution.

Stakeholders and community leaders also declared support for Soludo as a minute silence was observed in honour of the late former Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Harford Oseke, an indigene of Umuawulu.
In his part, Chief Jude Nwangwu from Isiagu who lauded the governor’s performance in all sectors of economy in the state.
He however, appealed for completion of connecting roads linking Isiagu, Ezinator and Nazareth Center.
One of the opinion leaders and APGA chieftain at Umuawulu, Chief Azubuike Ekweozor commended Soludo’s infrastructural and innovative projects.
He pledged to deliver all 16 polling units in the community to the Governor who has performance beyond expectations.
Women leaders from the communities and wards toured eulogize Soludo’s developmental milestones expressing support for his re-election bid.
Mrs. Bibian Onwurah of Isiagu cited the modern toilets built at Afor Isiagu market as an example of his people-oriented governance.
Mrs. Okpala Chinyere of Umuawulu praised Soludo free antenatal and caesarean section services which she said had saved lives and reduced costs for women.
