Vice-President Kashim Shettima will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The event is scheduled to take place in New York from Monday, Sept. 22 to Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.
Shettima will be representing President Bola Tinubu at the global gathering, which brings together world leaders to discuss pressing international issues.
He is expected to participate in the high-level General Debate and other key events.
He will participate in the commemoration of the UN’s 80th anniversary, which will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, at the UN Headquarters.
The Vice President’s engagements are expected to focus on Nigeria’s development priorities, regional security, climate action and strengthening multilateral cooperation.
