Hilda Baci creates new Guinness World Record for largest serving Nigerian Jollof Rice

Nigerian chef and media personality Hilda Baci, in collaboration with Gino, has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the Largest Serving of Nigerian-style Jollof Rice.

This was achieved with a jaw-dropping 8,780 kilograms (19,356 lb 9 oz) of the beloved West African dish!

The record-breaking feat was achieved in grand style on Victoria Island, Lagos.

It drew thousands of spectators, food lovers, and cultural enthusiasts from across the country. 

The event, which combined culinary excellence with national pride, showcased the richness of Nigerian cuisine.

It also reflected the unifying power of jollof rice—a dish often at the heart of lively West African culinary debates.

Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement today, celebrating Hilda Baci’s triumph on social media:

“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬”

This marks yet another historic milestone for Hilda Baci.

She gained international recognition in 2023 for her Guinness World Record-breaking cook-a-thon.

She cooked continuously for 93 hours and 11 minutes.
