The Labour Party Governorship candidate, Dr. George Moghalu has paid homage to Igwe Emeka Okezie, the traditional ruler of Okija, to receive royal blessings.

Moghalu’s visit to the monarch was part of his community campaign tour ahead of November 8 governorship election.

He described traditional rulers as custodians of culture, heritage, and moral authority whose blessings and counsel remain invaluable in the quest for good governance.

The LP flagbearer emphasized that his visit to the palace was not only to seek prayers but also to reaffirm his commitment to carrying every community along in the journey for a better Anambra.

“My administration will restore peace, promote development, and ensure governance touched every part of the state if elected,” he assured.

Responding, Igwe Okezie prayed for the will of God to be done in the state and wished Dr. Moghalu success in his political pursuit.

The royal father stressed the importance of leaders who put the people first.
