Academic Frontiers Initiative (AFI), Anambra State Chapter has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo on victory of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Saturday’s bye-elections.
Emma Nwachukwu emerged victorious for the Anambra South Senatorial District, while Mimi Azikiwe clinched the Onitsha North I State Constituency seat in the State House of Assembly.
The polls were adjudged a landslide victory for APGA, further consolidating the party’s dominance and affirming the confidence of Ndi Anambra in the Soludo-led administration.
National President of AFI and Convener of AFI for Solution, Prof. Chinedu Onyeizugbe, in a congratulatory message described the victory as a testament to the giant strides recorded under the leadership of Governor Soludo.
He hailed the governor as the “People’s Governor,” noting that the developmental projects, reforms and innovative policies being championed by his administration continue to endear him to the electorate.
“The victory at the polls is not just a win for APGA, but a clear indication of the confidence and trust reposed in the purposeful leadership of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
“It is equally a sign of what is to come in November when the governor seeks re-election,” the statement read in part.
AFI, which is the umbrella body for all academics and non-teaching staff across public and private tertiary institutions in Anambra State, assured Soludo of its continuous support.
While pledging to remain partners in development, AFI expressed confidence that the governor’s vision for a liveable, prosperous, and smart Anambra is on course.
He urged Ndi Anambra to remain steadfast in their support for the APGA-led government.
