Anambra Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for peaceful conduct of the election.
Soludo who voted at his polling unit at Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, described the process as seamless.
He said: “I have just fulfilled my civic duty by casting my vote at my polling unit in Ofuiyi 002, Isuofia, for today’s Anambra South Senatorial by-election.
“I commend INEC, and all stakeholders for their ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and peaceful process as the election unfolds.”
Soludo is the national leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), where the party is fielding Chief Emma Nwachukwu as its candidate.
Other candidates is Mr Azuka Okwuosa, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
