D’Tigress won the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Championship which took place at Kigali in Rwanda, in dominant fashion

The victory marks their 7th continental title, a record-extending 5th consecutive championship and an astonishing 29-game unbeaten run dating back to 2015.

In a packed BK Arena, D’Tigress defeated long-time rivals Senegal in a fiercely contested final.

They saw their place in history as the first African nation — male or female — to win five AfroBasket titles in a row.

Led by an all-star cast of talented players and a unified team spirit, the Nigerian side played with precision, resilience, and pride.
