Hosts, Morocco will be battling against nine-time champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria in the finals of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON.
The Atlas Lionesses will be fighting for their first WAFCON title, while Super Falcons are seeking to crown their reign on the continent with the tenth title.
The match will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat by 22.00 West African Time, WAT or 21.00 GMT.
Nigeria defeated cup holders, South Africa 2 – 1 to reach the finals, while Morocco dismissed Ghana 4 – 2 on penalties after 1-1 tally after extra time had ended.
Meanwhile, the Black Queens of Ghana have won the third place match of the tournament.
Ghana defeated defending champions, Banyana Banyana of South Africa 4 – 3 on penalties to clinch the bronze trophy.
The match had ended 1 – 1 at full time, with South Africa netting in the first half before Ghana’s equalizer through Alice Kusi in the second half.
Alice Kusi’s exceptional displays during the encounter earned her the Woman of the Match award.
