Anambra Guber: GEFAS launches Mobile Tech Hub, assures Soludo of uninterrupted campaign Internet connectivity

Geeks & Founders Alliance for Soludo (GEFAS) on Thursday assured Anambra state Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo of uninterrupted and high-speed internet connectivity in his campaign drive to secure landslide victory in the upcoming Governorship elections.
The group gave the assurance during the official flag off of the GEFAS Mobile Tech Hub.
Unveiling the Mobile Tech Hub in Awka, Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim restated commitment of Soludo-led administration to making Anambra a prosperous and livable smart mega city.
He called on all to take advantage of the free internet to reach out to others on the unprecedented performance of the governor in the state.
He said, “In line with what Mr Governor is doing for the youths, this is another boost by the youth friendly governor.
“We can’t expect anything less from Mr Agbata who is a guru when it comes to ICT. Mr Governor has a way of putting the square peg in square hole.
“I’m sure what we’re seeing today is a tip of the iceberg. More of these are in the offing.
“We want everyone here to take advantage of this avenue to reach out to others of what is happening in Anambra
Anambra now livable
According to the Deputy Governor, “Anambra state remains a place to live, work, relax and enjoy.
“I want to assure you that Mr Governor is solidly behind you and always there to support and strengthen your vision.”
Earlier, Convener, Mr Fred Agbata said the free internet connectivity would not only boost Soludo’s victory at the poll, but increase the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) occasioned by growth in broadband.
He explained that the GEFAS Mobile Tech Hub is a custom-built vehicle with internet voice, data, backup power and other infrastructure on board.
According to him, it would enable over 3,000 people connect to Solution WiFi at no cost on campaign grounds and public spots.
He said, “We’re gathered here to celebrate innovation. This is possible because of the favourable policies of Mr Governor.
“When he first came in, he waved the right of way. that basic waver to expand connectivity has given us opportunity to explode.
“What you’re seeing today is an expression of what has been happening.
Promise fulfilled
“Today, there’s free connectivity and internet in various public places as Mr Governor promised in his manifesto.
“We already have free connectivity and internet at various students lodges.
“About four higher institutions in the state also have free connectivity.
“We want to ensure free and high connectivity and speed internet anywhere Mr Governor to going for his campaign.
“Besides, it’s said that whenever there’s growth in broadband, it affects GDP of that country, state and community.
“We thank you for joining this amazing young people who are driving this project to ensure Mr. Governor’s re-election becomes a reality.”
