The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed efforts to bring back Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Deputy National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi, spoke on Arise Television.
He described Obi as a valuable political asset, citing his six million votes in the 2023 election despite alleged widespread rigging.
“Peter Obi is our product. We want him back because he remains a major political force,” Abdullahi said.
Acknowledging Obi’s departure as a setback but noting he still commands respect within the PDP.
He added that the party is engaged in strategic planning and internal consultations ahead of the 2027 elections.
Reuniting with Obi is part of those efforts.
