Super Falcons of Nigeria have progressed to semifinals following a 5-0 thrashing of the Copper Queens of Zambia in their quarterfinal clash at the ongoing Women African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Nigeria put up a five star display at the 30,000 capacity Larbi Zaouli stadium in Casablanca.

Osinachi Ohale opening the flood gates of goals as early as two minutes into the game.

Esther Okoronkwo who gave the assist for the first goal doubled the lead for Nigeria in 33rd minutes, before Chiwendu Ihezuo added a 3rd for the Falcons to end the first half at 3-0.

The second half saw the Zambian side make multiple changes, but that did not deter Nigeria from increasing the goal tally.

Deborah Demehin scored in the 68th minute, while Folashade Ijamulusi added the the 5th goal at 90+1 minute.

The coach Justin Madugu-led falcons will now face either Senegal or South Africa in the semi final.
