Remains of former President, Muhammadu Buhari, have been laid to rest amidst emotions as attendees prayed for the repose of his soul.
The funeral prayers, was led by former Minister of Communications, Professor Ali Fantami.
Family members of the deceased, his relatives, and the Emir of Daura, witnessed the solemn occasion.
Government officials, politicians from across political parties, and members of the diplomatic Corps, were also graced the event.
After his interment, President Tinubu, the chief mourner, received condolences from high profile personalities at President Buhari’s residence.
The state funeral featured full military honours, including a 21-gun salute.
President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Umaru Sissoco of Guinea-Bissau, Nigerien Prime Minister, Ali Lamine Zeine received his remains.

They were joined by former Nigerien President, Mahamadou Issoufou, and former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
A joint team of military pallbearers comprising nine senior officers laid the casket, draped with the Nigerian flag, on a trolley.
The pallbearers wheeled the former President’s casket in a slow march through a full military guard of honour, comprising six officers and 96 soldiers drawn from the Nigerian Armed Forces.
