Katsina Govt. declares Monday, July 14 work‑free day to mourn late Buhari

The Katsina State Government has declared Monday, July 14 a work-free day to allow residents mourn the former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari passed away in a UK clinic on Sunday evening, July 13.

The Secretary to the Government of Katsina State, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, disclosed this.

Gov. Dikko Radda, also expressed his profound condolences to Buhari’s family, the people of Katsina and the entire nation.

He described the former president as a great leader, a hero, a true democrat, and a patriotic elder statesman.

According to him, his life was dedicated to the service of Nigeria.

Radda also offered prayers, asking Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant mercy to Buhari’s soul.

He prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings, and reward his noble deeds with Aljannatul Firdaus.

Buhari’s remains is expected back to Nigeria today and will be buried in Daura, his hometown in Katsina state.
