Members of the Angel Network News, (ANN), have been urged to sustain the tempo of professionalism and ethical practice in their reportage.
A media icon, Professor Chinyere Stella Okunna, made the call during an event to mark the first anniversary of the chapel.
Professor Okunna charged them to keep the flag flying. “Do not rest on your oars. As media professionals and conscience of the society, a lot is expected from you.
In their separate speeches. NUJ Vice President, South East Zone, Mr Emmanuel Ifesinachi and ANN General Manager, Dr. Ifeanyi Obiefuna called on members of the Chapel to uphold ethics of journalism in all their professional dealings.
The chairman of the chapel, Mr. Bonvera Ndubisi had earlier commended members for their dedication and commitment.
He thanked God for all the successes recorded within the first year of the chapel.
The ANN Chapel was inaugurated by NUJ Charman, Anambra State Council, Comrade Emeka Odogwu, on July 2024.
In commemoration of the anniversary, ANN Chapel paid a courtesy visit to Umuokpu Iron Dealers Market Awka, where it interacted with the executives and other traders.
