Catch them Young Community Initiative (CATYCOI) has called on people of Anambra state especially the youths to participate in the on-going Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commenced the exercise on July 8 and it will end on July 17 ahead of November 8 Governorship election.
The exercise is taking place daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including weekends, in all Registration Areas (Wards) across the state.
Executive Director, CATYCOI, Nonso Orakwe in a statement on Thursday told the youths that real change commences with power of the vote and such power would only start with obtaining PVC.
He encouraged young people to turn out in large numbers, mobilize their peers, and take full advantage of the remaining days of this CVR window.
He said, “CATYCOI passionately calls on all young people across Anambra State to take charge of their future by participating in the ongoing CVR.
“This is a defining moment for the youth of Anambra as the most energetic and vibrant segment of society.
Power of voter registration
Orakwe noted that the real change begins with the power of the vote which starts with obtaining voter’s card.
“CATYCOI urges first-time voters aged 18 and above, students and apprentices, young entrepreneurs, artisans, and workers to participate in the exercise.
“Young people who have relocated or changed their residential address as well as Women and Persons with Disabilities.

“Let no young person be left behind. This is not the time for apathy or indifference.
“It is the time to stand up, and shape the future of our state.
“Your voice, your vote, and your participation matter more than ever.
“The future of Anambra belongs to us. Let’s claim it by registering to vote. Together, we will build a better, stronger Anambra State.”
