The Delta State Sports Commission has reconstituted the Management Board and Technical Crew of Delta Queens Football Club.
This is part of measures to enhance the club’s performance in the coming 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Season.
The commission months ago dissolved the entire structure of Delta Queens Football Club, including the management board, technical crew.
The dissolution followed the club’s abysmal performance in the just concluded 2024)2025 NWFL Season.
A statement from the Director, Public Relations, Franka Okonma, announced the new management team, technical crew, and backroom staff.
The statement says the move is to reposition the club for greater efficiency, professionalism and improved performance.
Awhana Mercy returns as General Manager, now to work alongside Samson Keshi, a UEFA-certified coach and former head coach of Naija Ratels FC, who has been appointed as the club’s new Head Coach.
Keshi’s European training and domestic achievements are expected to bring a technical edge to Delta Queens’ pursuit of top-flight dominance.
Also appointed are assistant coaches Jennifer Adjuyah, Maureen Eke, Susan Joy Aliya, with Njoku Okechukwu named as Goalkeeper Trainer.
The club’s new backroom team includes Usiada Ese as Welfare Officer, Akanigha Austin – Media Officer, Oyibo Joy – Secretary, while Veronica Ogigai is the Nurse.
Edosovba Theresa as Chaperon, Abubakar Lukman (Masseur), Aniemeke Gift (Cook), Ikopi Ogbemudia (Videographer), Okpimo Stephen (Photographer), and drivers Orukpe Goodluck and Aboghe Dennis.
The newly reconstituted team is expected to be officially inaugurated in the coming days.
