Anambra Govt investigates SASA clash in Obosi, pledges decisive action

The Anambra State Government says it is actively investigating the recent clash between Special Anti-Touting Squad (SASA) operatives and some individuals in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area.

The clash had led to destruction of property, prompting government reaction.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, government pledged to take decisive action to prevent recurrence.

It reads, “We assure the people of Obosi and the general public that we will take decisive action to prevent similar incidents in the future.

“To enhance professionalism and efficiency, SASA is undergoing reorganisation. This step aims to ensure the squad operates effectively and responsibly.

The statement urges calm and cooperation from residents as government works to resolve this matter.
