The governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA), Ozo Jephat Ezechukwu Nweke, has picked the mandatory N50m political campaign license imposed by the Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, (ANSAA).
ANSAA’s Managing Director, Mr Tony Ujubuonu, announced the imposed campaign permit fees at a press conference two weeks ago.
He had threatened to prosecute defaulters who display outdoor advertisements without making the mandatory payment.
The Security Expert and renowned entrepreneur is the fourth contestant to pay the fee he initially called illegal.
With this, Nweke’s campaign posters, handbills, billboards, branded vehicles would flood the 326 electoral wards of the Anambra state.
He was represented at the occasion by his running-mate, Mr Obi Elvis Anayochukwu flanked by some party members.
Victory is sure
He was optimistic of victory in the November 8 gubernatorial poll,” Anayochukwu said.
According to him, he does not want anything to stop him from reaching out to the citizens.
Nweke confidently submitted that the election is between his party (AA) and others.
He urged the citizens to vote for a candidate with passion to feed the nation, secure and uplift the masses.
“We have confidence on winning the election. AA is not new. Ozo Nweke is a figure, a household name within Anambra State and beyond.
“We are seeing and hearing from the masses on who will be their choice.”
He said AA under his leadership is well-positioned to change Anambra state for good.
“We will start from ensuring security of lives and property to attracting foreign and local investors and others,” he added.
