Former Labour Party faithful who recently collapsed their structure for Governor Chukwuma Soludo have restated their resolve to ensure that the governor is reelected during the November 8 gubernatorial election.
The group that has metamorphosed into Soludo Grassroot Warriors Initiative (SGWI) has been passionate about taking the good news of the incumbent governor to all the nooks and crannies of the State.
The meeting on Sunday was to review and reappraise their plan and put final touches to their campaign strategies to ensure that the governor emerged victorious in all the political wards across the State.
The Convener of SGWI, Rogers Orjiewulu, told journalists after the meeting that no stone would be left unturned to ensure overwhelming victory for Soludo.
He said the group would contribute significantly toward making Soludo win in the 326 wards in the State.
“Our plan is to take over the airwaves for Prof Charles Soludo through incisive and extensive media campaigns in both the print and electronic news organisations,” he said.
Soludo makes things easy
Orjiewulu extolled Soludo for quality leadership which he noted has made things easy.
“Interestingly, Prof Charles Soludo has made things so easy for us as a group because of his unprecedented landmark achievements in just three years in office.
“This is the very first time a governor of Anambra State has developed all the sectors simultaneously seamlessly yet without borrowing a dime as was the case in recent past.
“For us at SGWI, 21/21 is not enough for us, we are going for 326/326, this implies that we want to contribute significantly toward making Gov Soludo win in the 326 wards in Anambra State.”
While stressing the saying that “reward for hard work is more work”, former LP strongman noted that since the incumbent governor has distinguished himself with quality performance, all hands must be on the deck to ensure his reelection.
