Stakeholders in Achalla, Awka North Local Government Area, have endorsed Dr Charles Okadigbo as the next President General of the town.
They made the endorsement at Orie Ajana Square during which Dr Okadigbo formally declared his interest to run for the PG of Achalla Improvement Union.
The stakeholders noted that Okadigbo has the capacity to return Achalla to its pride of place if elected as President General.
The Traditional Prime Minister, Ozor John Nwokoye described Okadigbo as a great son who has contributed immensely to the development of Achalla even with his personal funds.
Ozor Nwokoye, a former Member, Anambra state House of Assembly, said the entire cabinet of the traditional ruler has passed a vote of confidence on the candidate based on his proven track record and goodwill in the community.
He enjoined the people to come out on the 12th of July to vote for the candidate who will bring more development to the area.
A former Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Chief Lawrence Onwuzuka, recalled that Okadigbo facilitated the electrification of Achalla when he served as PG years back.
The National President of United Voice of Sabbath Worldwide and Bishop of The True Covenant of God servant Mission Worldwide, Raphael Mozie Egbuna, described the candidate as a tested community leader who is always working towards the overall interest of his people.
According Bishop Mozie, widows, women and the entire people will benefit immensely once they align with the great vision of the community leader.

Two other stakeholders, Chief Samuel Nweke and a former PG, Chief Boniface Chigbo regretted that disunity and false information denied the community quality representation in the past
They however noted that the choice of Okadigbo was timely and strategic.
Declaring his interest, Dr Charles Okadigbo said his passion for peace and security prompted him to recontest for the PG of Achalla.
“In my first tenure years ago, I attracted rural electrification, built a townhall, empowered the people and also ensured that the youths did not go astray.
He regretted that those who succeeded him could no longer guarantee peace and security of the people.
“I am seeking re-election to enable him address the numerous challenges confronting the people.
“I will ensure that farmers especially women return to their farmlands for agricultural activities which stopped as a result of insecurity.
The former Special Adviser to former Governor Willie Obiano commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his purposeful leadership, which has placed Achalla and the entire Awka North Local Government Area in the development map of the state.
Dr. Okadigbo assured that Achalla will give the Governor full support towards his return to power after November 8 2025.
The Village square was filled to capacity with elders, youths, women, religious and community leaders as well as different cultural dance groups.
