Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake

Nigeria will host the 4th African Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit (AFNIS) from July 14–17 in Abuja.

The summit is aimed at attracting investment and fostering sustainable development across the continent.

This was contained in a statement by Mr Segun Tomori, media aide to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake.

The summit will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to promote collaboration in mining, energy, agriculture and finance.

The theme of the event is ‘Harnessing Local Content for Sustainable Development’.

The event will spotlight investment opportunities, policy innovation, and local value addition—highlighted by the unveiling of a lithium processing plant.

The summit also aims to build on partnerships formed during the 2023 G20 Summit in New Delhi.
