The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the November 8, Anambra State guber polls, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu says the incumbent governor, Prof Charles Soludo, has never won any election before on his own.
Ukachukwu stated this during a tumultuous reception organized for him at Chinua Achebe Airport, Umueri on his return from Abuja.
Ukachukwu popularly known as “Ikukuoma” had gone to receive the party’s governorship flag from President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The reception for Ukachukwu and his running mate, Sen Uche Ekwunife took place at Chinua Achebe Airport, Umueri in Anambra East LGA of the state.
On the occasion, APC chairman in the state, Chief Basil Ejidike, noted that Gov Soludo and his APGA supporters were celebrating a fake alliance with APC two weeks before President Tinubu gave the party flag to Prince Ukachukwu.
He said the joy of the APGA faithful died a natural death with the arrival of Ikukuoma.
“Asiwaju Tinubu has confirmed the candidature of Ikukuoma, who will lead Anambra to the real center,” he said.
The APC Gubernatorial hopeful, Ukachukwu, addressing the mammoth crowd, thanked God for his victory at the governorship primary of APC.
Message from President Tinubu
He said “I’m back with a message from President Ahmed Tinubu to all of us in APC, the message is simple ‘Go and bring me Anambra.
“Anambra cannot afford to be backward when issues of Nigeria are being discussed.
“Nkea bu nkeanyi is not working, we must be get it right now. We are Tinubu, Tinubu is us and we are APC.
He expressed confidence that APC will win the election landslide. “APC is our party. Tinubu is our president.
“We will not rig the election, we will win the election clean and clear,” he asserted.
Ikukuoma urged party faithful to harvest the voters who will vote for APC in the governorship election.
“It’s over for APGA in Anambra State. Soludo is now very desperate, dropping names and reaching out to stakeholders belatedly.
“Soludo has never won any election in his life. Obiano won it for him three years ago.
“November 8 governorship election will show him that he is just floating,” the APC flagbearer said.
Ikukuoma used the occasion to unveiled his running-mate, Sen Uche Ekwunife, who thanked the people for turning out en-mass to receive her and her principal.
