The Rotary International President’s representative Annemarie Mostert and her spouse Hans Mostert are in Nigeria ahead of the Rotary District Conference (DISCON) of District 9142, taking place in Awka, Anambra State.
The couple was received at the Asaba International Airport by District Governor of 9142, Rtn Prof Au Nnonyelu amidst the smiles and joy that Discon 2025 is here.
The District Governor, Nnonyelu was accompanied by the District Rotaract Rep., Awo Kingsley, District Secretary, Joan and PDG, Andy Uwejeghan, of District 9141.
Other Rotary Leaders – DCOS Chibueze Adirika, DPIC Tochi Amalu, PAG Ralph Okigbo, President Martin Nzeocha, President Oby Arinze, PE Joy Mbadugha, AGD SR Yvesmary Obi, PAG Kalu Peters, DSA Chijioke Oguguo among others were also present.
PDG Annemarie Mostert, since appointed as representative by President Stephanie Urchick, has remained glued Rotary District 9142 activities on social media.
Addressing the people, she expressed joy and hope for a memorable District Conference.
Rotary District Conference (DISCON) is an annual event organized by Rotary International districts, a gathering of Rotarians from various clubs within the district.
It features seminars and workshops, networking opportunities, awards and recognition as well as business sessions for district governance.
It aims to foster fellowship and teamwork, discuss district business and plans, inspire and motivate Rotarians as well as celebrate achievements.
The event which takes place from 22nd to 25th May 2025, will hold at Stanel Dome Awka, Anambra State.
