Over twenty football budding talents have been discovered in the South East Geopolitical zone of Nigeria for export to the National team and rest of the world.
The players were carefully selected by some scouting professionals during the third edition of Scouting Sports Competition by Bohold Football Club, Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.
25 grassroots clubs from all states in the zone including Delta camped in Isuochi for the Competition which lasted for one week.
Best scouting program in South East
FIFA licenced agent, Abubakar Sadiq Abdulahi, assessed the exercise as the best organized scouting programme witnessed in the region.
He stated that the budding talents will be fully harnessed, nurtured and exported to both the Nigeria National Teams, Europe and other parts of the world, where they are expected to make exploits in the round leather game.
Abdulahi, also Head of Scouting for JB Central Football Academy Abuja, announced that the club was partnering Bohold FC of Umunneochi to discover and grow more young footballers that will serve as player bank to the Super Eagles.
The partnership is also expected to ensure that grassroots footballers get to the pick of their career.
The Organizer of the competition and president of Bohold FC, who is a former Jasper United and East Riffa FC Bahrain, Eze Onyemaechi Michael, commended the teams for taking advantage of the opportunity to showcase the inherent talents in the area.
Coach Eze said the selected players will proceed to Abuja, where they will be offered another opportunity to become Super Eagles Midfielder Frank Onyeka who incidentally hails from Isuochi, venue of the tournament.
“I want to thank everyone including the FIFA licenced agent for his dedication action and zeal to see that budding talents are discovered from this zone.
“I believe that the selected players will find their feet in Abuja and from there become the future player for our country. “
Acquire FA, Agbor, Delta State, emerged the best team in the soccer tournament 3rd edition Scouting program.
Sam Decent FC Owerri, Imo State came second while MFC Isuochi emerged the third best team.
