A Contractor, Mr Temitope Runsewe, says the Iconic Light of the Nation Tower in Anambra State, positions the state on national tourism map.
Runsewe, Managing Director, Dutum Construction Ltd, that built the tower, made the assertion in Awka during inauguration of projects by President Bola Tinubu.
President Tinubu inaugurated several projects including the Solution FunCity, Anambra Country Club, New Government House and New Government Lodge.
The President also unveil the Emeka Anyaoku Centre at UNIZIK,
New Presidential Lodge and the ‘Iconic Light of the Nation Tower’.
Runsewe said the Iconic Light of the Nation Tower symbolised the state’s slogan – ‘Light of the Nation’.
“The tower is a monument conceptualised by the Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration to beautify the state and to serve as tourist attraction.
“This tower is more than just a visual landmark, it is a long-term economic asset that will position Anambra competitively on the national tourism map.
“With vigor and expertise, it took us six months to build the 40 metres high tower.
“The tower has a water fountain at the base and a globe at the top which symbolises the Anambra state slogan – ‘Light of the Nation’,” he said.
Runsewe said the project exemplified the power of partnership between a forward-thinking state government and a construction company.
