Eight House of Representatives members from Osun State have reaffirmed unwavering loyalty to the Peoples’ Democratic Party, and State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
The members led by Mr Bamidele Salam declared their allegiance in a statement they all signed.
They noted that the defection of one of them, Wole Oke was long predicted.
According to them, Oke has consistently displayed disloyalty, and engaged in media attack on the party and Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke’s government.
They described his resignation as a mark of ingratitude to the Party that has given him a platform for political relevance for over twenty years.
The lawmakers asked their defected colleague stop issuing statements aimed at getting sympathies from his new political friends.
“The defection of our colleague, Hon. Wole Oke, is a personal decision that holds no bearing on the stability or cohesion of the PDP in Osun,” the maintained.
The eight-member caucus declared their commitment to the ideals and leadership of the party.
