President Bola Tinubu has approved Nasir Naeem Abdulsalam’s appointment as the Managing Director, Ajaokuta Steel Company, effective from April 3.
Nasir’s appointment was announced in a press release by Segun Imohiosen, Director, Information & Public Relations on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Until his appointment, Nasir was the Technical Adviser to the Minister of Steel Development.
He was also the Special Assistant (Academics) to Director General of National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS).
President Tinubu tasked the appointee to bring his wealth of experience in the steel industry to bear on his new assignment.
Nasir is to revolutionise the Ajaokuta steel company to generate important upstream and downstream industrial and economic activities to position the nation as the industrial hub of Africa.
